- Individuals and sole proprietors who work for themselves without employers or employees can register as self-employed. However, there are a few exceptions: the full list can be found in the law on self-employed individuals.
- Tax rates for self-employed individuals: 4% for income from individuals and 6% for income from legal entities and sole proprietors. The annual income can't exceed 2.4 million ₽.
- A declaration is not required. If you enable the auto-sending of receipts, the receipt will be generated automatically after each sale. For each receipt, you will need to pay 1.2% of the purchase amount. Each month, the Tax Service will calculate the tax amount based on the generated receipts. No more reports.
- You can register as self-employed at the Tax Service via the Moi Nalog service
- sell products (for example, custom ordered cakes),
- provide services (for example, manicure at your place),
- exercise property rights (for example, rent out an apartment).
