Restrictions

You can receive up to 500,000 ₽ per month in payments via bank cards. Limits for other methods are different
Only individuals can make payments to you
You can have the self-employed status if your yearly income doesn't exceed 2,4 million ₽: it's required by the law
If you resell products, you won't be able to use YooMoney: the law doesn't allow self-employed individuals to resell products

You create an invoice in your YooMoney Merchant Profile and send it to the customer. The invoice is created as a link, text message, email, or QR code

Your customer gets redirected to the YooMoney payment form via the invoice and selects the payment method enabled by you

Once the payment goes through, you'll see a notification in the YooMoney Merchant Profile

Yes, they do. You can use, for example, the "Moi Nalog" service

Create an account in the Merchant Profile or YooMoney app. The account is created as a link, text message, email, or QR code. Customers can follow the link or scan the QR code which will redirect them to the payment form to select the payment method

  • Individuals and sole proprietors who work for themselves without employers or employees can register as self-employed. However, there are a few exceptions: the full list can be found in the law on self-employed individuals.
  • Tax rates for self-employed individuals: 4% for income from individuals and 6% for income from legal entities and sole proprietors. The annual income can't exceed 2.4 million ₽.
  • A declaration is not required. The Tax Service will calculate the tax amount based on the generated receipts. No more reports.
  • You can register as self-employed at the Tax Service via the Moi Nalog service

Self-employed individuals can:
  • sell products (for example, custom ordered cakes),
  • provide services (for example, manicure at your place),
  • exercise property rights (for example, rent out an apartment).
There is no single separate list of allowed activities but there are restrictions: they're listed in Federal Law No. 422-FZ
