Testing the use of a token for payments and payouts
This article describes how to test successful and unsuccessful scenarios for creating and using a multipurpose token for payments and payouts in the YooMoney's test mode.
You need to use identifiers and secret keys of the test gateway and demo store for authenticating requests.
Successful scenario
Test the successful scenario of saving a payment method, processing a payment, and processing a payout via the saved method.
In order to test saving a payment method, use test bank cards without 3-D Secure authentication, for example:

Unsuccessful scenarios when saving the payment method
You may test the following unsuccessful scenarios:
- Canceling a payment due to various reasons: you need to use special test cards.
- Exceeding the limits: make sure that your system has the allowable payout amount set, and that you don't create a payment when the amount is less or more than the selected limits. Learn more about limits
Unsuccessful scenarios when making a payout
Make sure that your system has the allowable amount set for payouts to bank cards, and that you don't send a payout request when the amount is less or more than the selected limits. Learn more about limits
Unsuccessful scenarios when making a payment via the saved payment method
You may test the following unsuccessful scenarios:
- Canceling a payment due to insufficient funds: a test card will be linked to the store, but payments via the saved payment method won't go through due to insufficient funds on the card. To test this scenario, use the following test bank cards:
